Maintenance Schedule
How Often Should You Schedule HVAC Maintenance?
Three rules our technicians follow when planning AC and furnace tune-ups, plus a quick last-service check to see if your system is due.
Service twice a year
Book an AC tune-up before summer and a furnace tune-up before winter, so each system is checked before it works hardest.
Service sooner if warning signs appear
Strange noises, weak airflow, higher bills, short cycling or odd smells are signs to call for a visit before a small issue turns into a breakdown.
Inspect first, then recommend
We inspect and test your equipment, so any repair recommendation is based on what we measure, not a guess.
Quick service check
When was your last tune-up?
Likely on track
A tune-up within the past year keeps coils, filters and controls in good shape. Keep up the routine and book your next seasonal visit on schedule.
Due for a visit soon
Dirt builds up and small problems start to go unnoticed. A tune-up now can improve efficiency and catch worn parts before peak season.
Overdue for maintenance
Dirty coils, clogged filters and worn parts can raise bills and strain the equipment. A full tune-up and inspection is a good idea.
Schedule a full inspection
Long gaps between service can hide serious wear. We inspect the whole system, explain what we find and recommend only what the equipment needs.
These are general guides only. Request a visit and we will inspect your system, explain what we find, then give you a written price.

HVAC Maintenance FAQ
HVAC Maintenance Questions, Answered by Our Technicians
How much does HVAC maintenance cost in the Inland Empire?
There is no single price. Cost depends on the type and number of systems, their age and condition, and whether you choose a one-time tune-up or a maintenance plan. We inspect first, then give you a clear written price before any work begins.
What is included in an HVAC tune-up?
A tune-up typically includes cleaning coils, checking filters, testing electrical parts, safety controls and thermostat operation, checking refrigerant, and measuring airflow and temperatures. We explain what we find and what, if anything, needs attention.
Are HVAC maintenance plans worth it?
A plan schedules regular visits so your system gets checked before summer and winter, which helps catch small problems early. Plan terms vary, so we explain exactly what is included and the price in your written quote before you decide.
Are rebates or incentives available for HVAC maintenance?
Utilities and state programs sometimes offer rebates or incentives for efficiency work, but programs and amounts change often. Tell us you are interested and we will point you to what may apply to your system and address.
How often should I service my AC and furnace?
Most systems benefit from a tune-up at least once a year, and many homeowners schedule the AC before summer and the furnace before winter. Systems that run hard, are older or serve a business may need more frequent attention.
What are the signs my HVAC needs maintenance?
Common signs include weak airflow, uneven temperatures, strange noises or smells, short cycling, rising energy bills and a system that has not been serviced in over a year. If you notice any of these, call before a small issue becomes a breakdown.
Does regular HVAC maintenance lower energy bills?
Clean coils, fresh filters and properly working parts help your system run the way it was designed to, which can help keep energy use in check. Results vary by system and home, so we do not promise a specific amount.
Do heat pumps and mini-splits need maintenance too?
Yes. Heat pumps run in both seasons and mini-splits need clean filters, coils and drain lines. We service ducted and ductless systems and check both heating and cooling operation.
How long does an HVAC maintenance visit take?
Many tune-ups are completed in a single visit. The time depends on how many systems you have, their condition and whether we find anything that needs attention. We tell you what to expect when you book.
Do I need to be home during the maintenance visit?
An adult should be there at the start so we can get access and walk through the work, and again at the end for the review. In between, we only need access to the indoor and outdoor equipment and the thermostat.
How should I prepare for the technician?
Clear a path to your indoor unit, furnace and outdoor equipment, note any noises, hot or cold rooms or high bills, and have your thermostat accessible. Photos of the equipment labels are helpful but not required.
What if you find a problem during the tune-up?
We show you what we found, explain your options and give you a written price. We do not start any repair without your approval, and you can decide to fix it now or later.
Does skipping maintenance void my HVAC warranty?
Some manufacturer warranties require proof of regular maintenance or proper installation, and terms vary by brand and model. Check your warranty paperwork, and keep your service records. We can provide a record of the work we perform.
Can I do my own HVAC maintenance?
You can change filters and keep the outdoor unit clear of leaves and debris. We do not recommend DIY work on refrigerant, electrical parts, burners or coil cleaning, since mistakes can damage equipment or create safety risks.
Do HVAC tune-ups require a permit in California?
Routine maintenance generally does not. Replacing equipment, changing ductwork or making major repairs usually does, and we handle permitting and inspections where required.
How can I keep my HVAC running well between visits?
Replace or clean filters on schedule, keep vents and returns unblocked, keep the outdoor unit clear, and use the thermostat consistently. If anything changes, such as noise, smells or comfort, call us and we will take a look.
